‘Caa-chyoh ay Pey-pey’ (Cheese & Pepper, and also the name of the simplest and best ever Roman pasta dish) was born from an obsession with all things flour and water and eggs and all things Italy. Having traveled and learned to cook (and eat) authentic Italian food at a school and with local nonnas it was a natural decision to want to come share it here at home in Mumbai. but the best ingredients is at the heart of what we do. Handcrafted, fresh, preservative free, rooted in Italian traditions and delicious. We are a pastificio, meaning that we make fresh handmade pasta every day in our kitchen. And sometimes also rustic Italian crostatas (pies)!
Our artisanal pastas are rolled from scratch with farm fresh eggs, stone-ground flours and
flavoured with natural fruits, vegetables and/or herbs. All of our pasta is handmade in small batches which is why orders need 2 days for execution and why we have a revolving menu of limited items. Each week we bring you pastas with different seasonal ingredients as well as the all time classics. Cacio e Pepe artisanal pastas are occasionally available in eggless and gluten-free options on request.
